COME SEE THE CHILD BORN IN BETHLEHEM

VERSE 1

Come see the child born in Bethlehem

He won’t be just any man

Born of a virgin and raised to be a King

He is the gift He brings

VERSE 2

There were shepherds in the field that night

While God watched o’er His Son

God’s glory shown up in the sky

The men were too afraid to run

PRE-CHORUS 1

The angel spoke unto the men, “I bring you tidings of great joy!

Come see the child born in Bethlehem underneath the starry sky.”

CHORUS

And tho’ He’s always been in glory, tonight He’s born as you and I

Held in His mother’s arms while angels gathered nigh

VERSE 3

When the angels left for heaven that night

The shepherds went to see the one

“Let us go to Bethlehem and see

The one God has made known to us.”

VERSE 4

So will you come see this child born in Bethlehem

To some He’s just any other man

What will you do with Jesus the Christ

Give Him your life, this Christmas night

PRE-CHORUS 2

Glory to God in the highest and peace on all the earth

Come and see the Messiah, lay down everything of worth

CHORUS

And tho’ He’s always been in glory, tonight He’s born as you and I

Held in His mother’s arms while angels gathered nigh

ENDING

Come see the child born in Bethlehem

Christmas Shines With Easter Glory

Verse 1

Christmas shines with Easter glory

New birth, new skin, new life

Amidst the pain, a-midst con-fusion

He guides us safely thru the nite

Guides us safely thru the nite

Shepherds watching, angels soaring

Under gaze of heavenly host

Baby born for resurrection

Blood will bring His children home

Blood will bring His children home

Christ is born, restoration day

Easter glory coming soon

Holy Advent, His returning

Great the harvest, welcomed home

Great the harvest, welcomed home

Verse 3

Have you come here to the Savior

What gift now to Him you bring

He who saved you from dam-nation

Offer all to Christ your King

Offer all to Christ your King

The herald sings, the baby cries

Mother holds her child close

Filled with glory, robed in wonder

And the Father’s Holy Ghost

Repeat Chorus

Head To Heart

Verse 1

Why have you come here tonight, to worship the child born of God?

Does it make you feel good inside? Is it more than tradition or not?

Chorus

Jesus Christ was born to die, on this very night

Invite Him from your head to your heart, to receive everlasting life.

Verse 2

Angels and Archangels are around us as we meet

Bowing to the King of kings. Lay your gift down at His feet.

Verse 3

He will replace your cape of fear, resentments and your woes

And place on you His righteousness as He lays on you His robe

Repeat Chorus

Verse 4

So be still and watch in silence this holy newborn babe

Born for us this Christmas night, He’ll shed His blood so we can be saved

Verse 5

It’s hard for us to imagine, but God’s ways are not our own

How the very Son of God for us would leave His throne

Verse 6

Oh how He must have been lonely and longed for a friend

That’s why you find yourself here tonight, come and find your friend.

Bridge

The friend of a lifetime, almighty God, The friend who fills you with His peace

The friend who loves you no matter what, He invites you to come sit at His feet.

Repeat Chorus

Mary’s Gift

Verse 1

Lord I don’t know what to do, I’m so tired all I can think is to trust You

I ache so much and I’m so cold

But I can’t wait for my child to behold tonight, He’s my Christmas light.

Chorus 1

He’s my Christmas light so I can see

Your love for us and Your love for me, shining bright

He’s my Christmas gift tonight.

Verse 2

You give this boy as a gift unto the world

But they can’t see what I see, feel what I feel

I’m holding onto the Savior of the world

And I’m giving Him up to You my Lord

You know I promised You that before He was born

But tonight…Let me hold Him tight.

Repeat Chorus 1

Chorus 2

He’s my Christmas light, but it saddens me

I’m giving Him up to set everyone free tonight so…

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
