Lyrics

Silver Sails of Thaddaeus
Verse 1
There’s a ship out on the horizon
And it’s raised its silver sails
He carries the hope of salvation
It’s cargo, the tales he tells
Verse 2
For the one on board has a mission
Fore he left he counted the cost
Freely he gives what’s been given to him
He’s knocking on the doors of the lost
Chorus
Steadfast fast and true sails Thaddaeus
Even after his Lord’s been gone
Challenged by life’s seas, faith is the key
As he sails into a new dawn
Verse 3
Placing one foot in front of the other
Doing the next right thing
When he’d fall the Lord would pick him back up
Dust off the dirt and the dust and debris
Bridge
Keep on sailing Thaddaeus
The Kingdom of heaven is at hand
Everyday’s filled with miracles
Blessings from God all across this land
Verse 4
If you’ve heard about Jesus there’s a good chance
It’s because of men like this man
Who lashed himself to the Mast of Christ
And held his course to the end.
Verse 5
Oh be thankful for men like Thaddaeus
Without you may have never known
The love of the Lord and the love of the King
And never have called heaven home
