From the recordings Thomas' Waltz and The Twelve

Lyrics

Thomas’ Waltz
Verse 1
For years I felt so guilty because I doubted Christ
My friends had said He’d risen, I knew He’d paid a price
My grief was overwhelming, my anger deep inside
Comfort was my sorrow, holding fast the tide
Verse 2
Nothing more to be said, the days had grown so old
All hope was lost, my eyes were dim, my heart had grown so cold
Others said they saw Him, He was risen from the dead
In unbelief I shouted, “I saw Him die”, but then…
Chorus
Christ entered where I was hurting, He saw my wounds inside
“Believe and place your hands in these, my wounds for you I died.
It rose in me unspeakable, a joy from heaven sent
All guilt erased, my faith was full, in Jesus holy presence!
Verse 3
At one time I had asked Him, “Lord how do we know the way
To the place where You are going, please point the way.”
He looked at me and spoke with His amazing voice,
“I am the way, the truth, I will always be the light”.
Verse 4
“No one comes to my Father, except they come thru Me
I will die, the third day, I’ll truly set you free
But you must believe me, that I give my life
And follow as my little child, place faith in Me the Christ.
Repeat Chorus
Bridge
I learned from Jesus that day, it’s not how we begin
That we finish well, and place our hope that He died and rose again
That His love is never ending, yet He calls each one to die
To self that we one day appear as one holy perfect Bride
Repeat Chorus
